Free Monthly Counseling Statement

business trip

One of the last two weekly trips to the leadership conference in Jülich, before I'll change my place in the spring. As my colleague S. today can not take the car and sunny, but chilly weather is expected, I choose to train bicycle version. The ten minute battle with the ticket machine I win eventually. At least the train driver strike spared to train my GER-Baal. From there it continues with the repaired wheel, always on the edge Rurniederung along the way to Jülich.

Besides the cars, which, glittering in the sun, quickly rush past, everything is empty and quiet. The Big Country, not a soul at the door, no grazing animals out there. A lonely rabbit, a buzzard ended up plus a couple of crows, a dead squirrel on the median strip. Bare fields and trees, which puts the winter in the bone. A bitterly cold headwind, but I'm cold, not because I was well packed and firm step into the new pedals. On the afternoon back then chickens and geese in a farm garden, children in carnival costumes, Extensors at work. Loud chirping birds in the thicket, silent birds of prey on trees and poles, two wild geese and a heron in flight. Everything rushes over. The sun drenched the country in a warm, soft light. The tracks are lit. It goes home.

George Washinvtonbridge Toll

return

long weekend in a mountain field (near Berlin), Thursday, 10.2. Until Monday, 14.2., Part 4 / 4

Only a small walk through mountain field, bought food for the journey, one last crows encounter with the train to the airport. Although we should ban all domestic flights because of me, I agreed this time to fly rather than travel by train. The train trip to Gladbach Berlin is always complicated, more expensive and longer (in the nineties there was a continuous inter-regional train). Knowing what a blooming way from the usual hassle, I have no objections this time, R time and money arguments, even when flying an environmental mess, and (because of my fear of flying), a nerve-wracking affair. At least I got it relatively quickly behind me. During ascent we had a loud suit carrying, armed with Mobiltelef and notebook business travelers separate seats, this time we sit with enough legroom in the front row next to each other.

A rumbling term flight. The plane turns a round of Berlin, although I know not always know where we are, there is much to see. Then a closed cloud cover that opens only on Westphalia again. In the wet, dark water areas as the country lit golden treasure island, illuminated by the sun warm. Lauter jewelry polished smooth, shiny surfaces, rich serpentine gold chains and belts. Then again, clouds. The Ruhr area in prosaic gray. Ships, trains, cars. The cleared areas of dismantled steel mills, deciduous slopes and sparse woods. Privately owned homes, business parks, suburban Nutzlandschaften. Welcome to the Rhineland. Where are waiting at home my broken bike and collapsed on my PC.
